About Me

My career has been in teaching and in volunteer training and support, in private and public schools and in small and national organizations. I love to write, plan and organize, then put things into action. I understand how to use most social media, love my Apple devices but Excel remains a mystery to me and always will. I love to problem-solve and to help others. Sometimes my mouth goes faster than my brain but I will try to control it while working on the Board!

I have experience in Arizona in working with members of the State Legislature and testifying before various committees as an advocate for legalizing car-share businesses like Uber and Lyft and as a gun safety expert on safe storage as part of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense. I have been interviewed about 9-10 times and appeared on the news, in newspapers and had many Letters to the Editor published in Arizona.

Looking forward to learning more as your AAMHO Representative.

My Story

My family lived in the same house near Gonzaga U in Spokane and never moved until we left home.  I joined the convent at 18 and was a very modern Holy Names nun until I left at age 35, working in schools, parishes and prisons.

Had three kids, the last through open adoption. Now in my happy second marriage, we moved to Viewpoint in 2018.

I met Dave when I sat next to him on a flight from Denver to Phoenix.
